Easier, Faster, Better. Effective Sales Enablement for Maximum Results

Thursday, October 3, 2013 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM PDT / 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM CST / 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM EST

Some have called 2013 ‘The Year of Sales Enablement’. But, there’s a bit of a void. On one hand, the majority of organizations are increasing or maintaining their annual spend on SE and vendors are providing more tools to support SE efforts than ever before. On the other hand, IDC reports that very few reps are actually well prepared (29%) for meetings and sales discussions. And we frequently hear from the reps themselves that they don’t have what they need, when they need it, to be successful at their jobs. Marketing and sales leaders need to reduce the gap and add value to the sales team – today. Whether you are in the process of building a Sales Enablement function and team, or a Sales Enablement professional looking to ‘boost’ your teams’ performance, this short webinar could help by providing practical advice, including:

  • 6 Quick Sales Enablement Health Check questions to evaluate if your Sales Enablement team is focused on the right stuff
  • How to simplify and align your CRM to your Sales Process, making it easier for sales reps to use
  • 5 suggestions and insights that you can implement today, including how to provide what sales reps really want and need
  • Examples of how Yesmail and Waste Management are using mobile and just-in-time training to improve knowledge transfer, lead conversion and maximize selling time

Speakers:

  • Sarah Altman, Sales Ready Group: After more than 14 years of selling and sales leadership positions for companies such as Oracle, EMC, WebTrends and Vesta, Sarah Altman launched her consulting company, Sales Ready Group, five years ago to combine her passion for sales, coaching and mentoring. As a consultant, she finds that her sweet spot is helping organizations understand how to prioritize their limited time and resources to maximize their sales teams’ performance and happiness factor.
  • Patrick Dugan, Director of Sales Operations at Northwest Evaluation Association
  • Moderator: Chanin Ballance, CEO MobilePaks: Chanin Ballance is CEO at both VIA and MobilePaks. She frequently speaks about learning, mobile engagement and multicultural solutions and has written for prominent industry publications like Chief Marketer, Chief Learning Officer and more.

The Power of Sales-Marketing Alignment to Enable Sales & Improve Business Performance

Wednesday, October 16, 2013
11:00 AM – 11:45 AM PDT / 1 PM – 1:45 PM CST / 2 PM – 2:45 PM EST

Today’s buyers have more information and power than ever before. According to Gartner Research, “This puts additional pressure on sales teams to add value when buyers choose to engage with them.” Therefore, sales and marketing must partner early on in the planning process to develop customer-centered value propositions and collateral, such as use cases and ROI analysis, and stay connected “all the way from strategy to execution, and back again.” By leveraging increasingly popular cloud technologies and sales aps, marketers can bridge the gap and empower sellers with relevant information and tools to advance the sales process, increase average deal size, decrease sales cycle lengths and improve pipeline management. This webinar will explain how to streamline, automate and support sales enablement so effectively that you’ll feel like you have an army of marketers in the field.

Key highlights include:

  • How to better understand your customers’ journey and tailor solutions to empower your sales team to meet their needs.
  • Why it’s important to bridge the gap between sales and marketing and how to overcome the common challenges to successful alignment, including examples from DocuSign.
  • How to use technology and make key information convenient for sales reps to improve their time-management, boost their performance, and increase lead conversion.

Speakers:

  • Meagen Eisenberg, VP of Demand Generation, DocuSign: Meagen has spent over 19 years in high-tech. In 2012 she received the SuperNova Award in Matrix Commerce and in 2011 the Marketing Visionary Markie award within the marketing automation field. She has an MBA from Yale SOM, and a Bachelor of Science degree in MIS and a minor in CSC from Cal Poly – SLO.
  • Robert J. Moreau, CEO at Zyphias Group – Robert is a successful entrepreneur, sales and marketing executive that for the past 14 years has been at the forefront of the fusion and integration of sales, marketing and technology. He has presented worldwide at over 100 conferences and for multiple universities and top analysts on the subjects of sales and marketing alignment, revenue performance management, demand generation, marketing/sales technology, business intelligence and leadership.

Sales training doesn’t have to suck: Make it relevant and engaging

Thursday, October 24, 2013
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM PDT / 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM CST / 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM EST

Every year, businesses spend thousands of dollars, as well as hundreds of hours, on sales training programs, from in-house sessions, to consultants to outside seminars. While the information might be valuable, in traditional sales training 80% of what reps learn is often forgotten within 30 days if they are not able to internalize the information and apply it in their day-to-day activities. In order for training programs to be truly effective, they must be customized, practiced and reinforced. By focusing on what really matters and providing hands-on practice that aligns with key steps of the sales process, sales managers can ensure that the new techniques will be applied, making sales training well worth the investment.

Key highlights include:

  • One Size does not fit all. We’ll show you how to gather feedback and analytics to determine what the right training solution is for your company, as well as to continue to fine tune and adjust training to reinforce what is working and address what is not.
  • Make it stick. Drawing on examples from Tripwire and WebMD, we’ll explain how to establish sales training that the executive team and staff can and will actually apply in the real world.
  • Less is more. We’ll discuss how to use technology to efficiently reinforce training to improve knowledge transfer, lead conversion and maximize selling time with examples from Yesmail and Waste Management.

Speakers:

  • Scott Olsen, Principal, The Olsen Group: Scott Olsen brings a combination of accomplishment and understanding of business matched with success in training individuals and groups. Scott earned his degree in Economics from the University of Washington and has developed innovative training methods throughout his career that produce dramatic increases in productivity and customer satisfaction. He tailors each session to the particular needs of the group in which he is involved.
  • Tom Latta, Director of Sales at Digital Inspections / DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability: Tom Latta is a sales leader with over 18 years’ experience in sales and sales management including the last 13 in technology sales. Tom has experience carrying a quota in both field and inside roles, as well managing lead generation and maintenance renewals teams. Additionally, Tom has a strong background in sales operations and sales training and has delivered numerous classes for both field and inside sales.

Sales Enablement Maturity. Where is your organization today?

Thursday, September 26, 2013 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM PDT / 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM CST / 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM EST

As the saying goes, knowledge is power, especially in today’s selling environment. Two of the top inhibitors of sales effectiveness are the inability to communicate the value proposition and the need to obtain subject matter expertise of the industry or solution. In fact, a recent SiriusDecisions survey finds that 60% of B-to-B companies plan to increase their overall spend on sales enablement in the next fiscal year, and sales enablement tools is the highest priority budget item for them. Many of these companies inherently have sales enablement processes in place for ramping new reps or launching new products. However, due to lack of sales enablement maturity they most likely act independently and produce what Forrester Research calls “random acts of sales enablement”. By establishing more formal sales enablement processes these organizations can increase deal size and win rate, as well as decrease ramp time and sales cycle length. In this webinar we’ll help you identify what tools to use, as well as how to create a sales enablement framework and maturity model that will work for your organization.

Key highlights include:

  • What does sales enablement mean today? Trends in sales enablement and challenges to inner company alignment.
  • Stages of the sales enablement lifecycle – from how to get started to identifying best practices to advance your organization and tips for calculating payback.
  • Using technology solutions to support your efforts, including examples from Waste Management, Cisco and Tripwire.

Speakers:

  • Craig Nelson, Sales Enablement Group: Craig Nelson is a seasoned professional with more than 25 years of experience in the software industry. For the last 20 years he has dedicated his efforts to enabling companies to more effectively market and sell. Nelson has held a variety of leadership roles and has been instrumental in the growth of several startup companies that became successful public software companies.
  • Elizabeth Fox, Senior Manager, Sales Enablement & Communications, Tripwire
  • Moderator, Chanin Ballance, CEO MobilePaks: Chanin Ballance is CEO at both VIA and MobilePaks. She frequently speaks about learning, mobile engagement and multicultural solutions and has written for prominent industry publications like Chief Marketer, Chief Learning Officer and more.
